Jolene Shepardson begins her first season as a member of Barry Goldberg's coaching staff and will lend valuable experience gained as both a collegiate and professional volleyball player to the Eagles.
Most recently, Shepardson played professionally for Jakarta Monas in Indonesia where she helped her team to an appearance in the league championship match as a starting outside hitter.

Shepardson competed at the collegiate level at both the University of South Florida and the University of Tampa. As a freshman at UT, Shepardson was named the Rookie of the Year for the Sunshine State Conference and was an all-conference selection as a sophomore in 1999. Her team reached the Div. II Final Four both seasons she attended Tampa and made an appearance in the national championship game in 1999. Following her sophomore season Shepardson transfered to USF where she helped the Bulls to the Conference USA Championship and the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2002.

Shepardson was named the 1998 Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Florida as a senior in high school and was a high school All-American.

Shepardson graduated from South Florida in 2002 and is a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified Personal Trainer. She currently resides in Washington, D.C., with her husband, Aaron.
