Daniel Davidson

    Volunteer Assistant Coach

Daniel Davidson is currently in his second year as a volunteer assistant with the American University volleyball team.

Davidson also serves as the assistant coach for the Marymount University men’s volleyball program, as well as the head coach for the George Washington University men’s club program.

Additionally, Davidson is a volunteer assistant for Metro American 18’s travel team, and organizes and competes on Green Card Volleyball, a men's AA USA Volleyball team. He also serves as the general manager for the Chesapeake Rising Tide of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).

Davidson’s previous experience includes over 17 years coaching men’s collegiate club volleyball at Duke, UC San Diego, Georgetown, UT Arlington and the University of Chicago, as well as one year as the assistant coach of the Harvard University men’s NCAA program.  He is IMPACT and CAP I certified.

When not involved with volleyball, Daniel serves as a Vice President at FleishmanHillard, a global PR firm, where he oversees the analytics and reporting capabilities for Samsung, AT&T, Google and a number of other clients.  He is a CFA Charterholder and serves as a lecturer at the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland on the topic of digital and social media measurement and optimization.  He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago, a master’s degree in international economics from UC San Diego and an MBA in analytic marketing from Duke University.
