2024: Played in every match and 113 sets in an impressive freshman season… Led the team and ranked fifth in the Patriot League in digs (355) while averaging 3.14 digs per set… Had a career-high 27 digs against Bucknell on Oct. 4… Tied Zedo Yilmaz for the team lead in service aces (37), led AU in aces in 10 matches... Finished third on the team in assists with 68… Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

Before AU – Named AVCA All-Region as a senior at Campbell Hall High School... Other senior honors included all-league first team recognition, All-Tournament Team selection at the La Jolla Coastal Classic, USA Volleyball GJNC All-Tournament Team, Under Armour Athlete recognition... Was also a first team all-league honoree as a junior... Ranked 9th in Southern California for digs in a single season... 2024 Pacific Northwest Qualifier Champion... Honor roll student every year of high school.
 
Personal – Full name is Isabella Marrero... Plans to major in environmental science at American… Plays beach volleyball and won the Southern California Beach Volleyball Gold Coast League in 2024… Loves yoga, painting, drawing or sculpting, going out with friends and family, and reading… Is passionate about giving back to the community and has volunteered with Baby2Baby… Part of the Latinos Unidos club at Campbell to help combat issues of racism and colorism… Has participated in Girls in Stem Club to combat the detrimental and harmful effects imposed on the environment… Chose AU “after learning about the reputation AU has had academically and athletically, as well as having the opportunity to get to know the volleyball players and amazing staff, I can easily say I knew this was the place for me. I truly am so excited to enter this new chapter of my life with my second family, and can't wait to make memories with them in a new city.”
