2024: Played in 12 matches of a productive freshman season, totaling 19 sets… Finished second on the team in assists with 85, setting a career-high of 37 against Navy on 11/16… Dished out 15 assists in back-to-back games against Bucknell on 10/4 and 11/2… Added 25 digs on the year… Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

Before AU – Member of the U19 team in Turkey that earned second and third-place finishes in the championships, member of the U18 team that placed second, and the U17 team that took first place… Her U16 team placed first at both the European Championship and the Balkan Championship.
 
Personal – Full name is Deniz Ece Dakak... Plans to major in business at American… Chose AU for its high academic ranking and a great team that will improve her game.
