a Nyanin begins her first year as the director of basketball operations on Head Coach Matt Corkery's staff.

A 2009 graduate from American with a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Foreign Language & Communication Media, Nyanin made 58 career appearances for the Eagles from 2005-10.

Nyanin enjoyed a standout 2009-10 season under Corkery, starting 31 of 32 games for AU. A force in the paint, Nyanin led the team with 6.3 rebounds per game, good for fifth in the Patriot League. During conference play, Nyanin’s 7.3 rebounds per contest were second most in the PL. She grabbed at least nine rebounds in nine games, including a career-high 13 in American’s win over Lehigh on January 9. She also averaged 4.5 points and 0.9 blocked shots per contest. Nyanin was a Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selection in 2010.

Originally from Accra, Ghana, Nyanin attended Westtown School in West Chester, Pa., where she was Friends School League All-Conference awardee as both a junior and senior. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Justice, Law and Society from American.
