Emily Stallings

Emily Stallings finished her ninth season as an assistant coach at American University in 2021-22 and oversees the development of the Eagles’ wings.

Since her arrival in 2013-14, Stallings has had an impact on a variety of position groups for the Eagles. Most recently, she has been crucial in development of Jade Edwards, who closed her career as a five-time All-Patriot League selection, and is one of only five players in program history to rank within the top-10 in the record books for points (1,232), rebounds (645), and blocks (57).

In all, Stallings has assisted in the development of two Patriot League Players of the Year, eight All-Patriot League selections, four Patriot League All-Defensive Team selections, three Patriot League Scholar-Athletes of the Year, and four Academic All-Patriot League Team honorees.

She arrived at AU in 2013 after working as a graduate assistant at East Stroudsburg where she aided in the development of the post players, planned practices, and assisted in recruiting.

As a women’s basketball student-athlete at Marist, she helped the team to four MAAC Championships and NCAA appearances, including back-to-back appearances in the second round during her final two seasons. Stallings was also a two-time MAAC All-Academic Team selection.

She graduated in 2012 with a degree in mathematics and secondary education, earning her master’s degree from East Stroudsburg in secondary education.
