Weslee Littlefield joined Steve Jennings’ staff as an assistant coach in March 2024. Littlefield was a five-year starter on the Ohio University Bobcats field hockey team between 2019-2023 before joining the staff.
Littlefield has been a field hockey coach since 2021 when she joined the Maine Majestix as a volunteer coach and Winslow Rec as a coach. Since 2022, she has also been an All-American Field Hockey Camp coach as well as a Nexus Field Hockey coach. Following the completion of her final season with Ohio as a player, Littlefield was the team’s volunteer assistant coach, taking on responsibilities like practice planning, scheduling, fundraising, compliance, and coding.
A five year starter with Ohio University between 2019-2023 under coach Ali Johnstone, Littlefield was also named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad four times–2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023. She was named the 2021-22 Physical Activity and Sport Coaching Student of the Year by Ohio University and was a member of the Leadership Committee between 2021-22.
In 2022, Littlefield helped Ohio to five shutout victories and was named Academic All-MAC in both 2022 and 2023. She started in all 16 games for the Bobcats in her fifth year (2023), and during her final season tallied a career-high seven points from two goals and three assists.
Littlefield received her Bachelor of Science in physical education in before going on to receive her Master’s degree in coaching education from Ohio University in Athens, carrying a 4.0 through her graduate career. She was a dean’s list honoree from December 2020-2024.
