Anne-Meike de Wiljes begins her first season as a volunteer assistant coach at American after enjoying one of the most decorated careers in program history.

De Wiljes helped the Eagles to four consecutive Patriot League Regular Season and Tournament Championships from 2006-09. As a senior she was named Second Team All-America after anchoring American’s defensive unit to the 11th-lowest goals against average in the country. De Wiljes also added 21 points on eight goals and five assists in 2009 and was named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year for a second straight season. A three-time All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team selection, she currently ranks 7th all-time in program history with 28 career assists and ranks 18th all-time with 58 points.

De Wiljes graduated from the Kogod School of Business in 2010 with a bachelors degree in international marketing and entrepreneurship. She was a four-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selection and a three-time NFHCA National Academic Squad honoree.
