WASHINGTON - American University basketball fans can get an inside look at the Eagles ahead of the 2026-27 season at the annual AU Basketball Tip-Off Dinner, set for Wednesday, October 21 at Maggiano's Little Italy in Chevy Chase.
The evening will bring fans together with fourth-year men's basketball head coach Duane Simpkins, second-year women's basketball head coach Kelly Killion, and select student-athletes from both programs as the Eagles prepare to tip off a new season.
A cocktail reception will begin at 6 p.m., giving guests a chance to mingle with coaches, student-athletes and fellow AU basketball supporters before dinner at 7 p.m. The evening's program will feature conversations with Simpkins and Killion about their teams and the season ahead, with Dan Laing, the Voice of the Eagles, returning as emcee.
Tickets are $100 and include the reception, dinner and full evening program. Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged.
