LEWISBURG, Pa. - The American University wrestling team won five bouts on Sunday afternoon against Bucknell, but the Bison won the bonus point battle to defeat the Eagles 22-21. Raymond Lopez and Jack Maida scored pins for AU, while JJ Peace, Caleb Campos, and Emmanuel Ulrich all won their matches.

Notable 

• JJ Peace got AU on the board with a 9-3 decision of Kade Davidheiser at 125. He landed a takedown right after an escape in the second period to earn a quick four points and grab control of the bout. The sophomore continues to lead AU in wins, now holding a 21-8 record. 
• Raymond Lopez took down #31 Bryce Manera with a pin before the end of the second period at 141. He got hold of Manera's left leg, then pounced on him for the lightning-quick fall. 
• Maida added six more points for AU with a pin of his own at 141, locking up Vinnie D'Alessandro. He delivered a takedown with just over a minute left in the second period, then kept D'Alessandro on the mat with a determined headlock for the pin. 
• After a 15-0 lead was erased by Bucknell over the course of the 149, 157, 165, and 174 bouts, Caleb Campos put AU back in front with a comfortable decision at 184. Up 4-1 in the third period, he sealed the bout with his second takedown and went on to win it 9-2. 
• Emmanuel Ulrich took down AU's second ranked wrestler of the day at 285, defeating #26 Lucas Lawler via decision. He went to work in the second period, breaking the scoreless tie with an escape and takedown to go up 5-0. Ulrich conceded a takedown in the third period, but did well to stay composed and earn the win 7-4 after scoring an escape.
