  • At home in Bender Arena, the Eagles are 8-1 so far this season, suffering only a four-point loss to Siena on Nov. 29.
  • The Eagles swept three meetings against Colgate last season, and head coach Duane Simpkins is 4-1 against the Raiders overall.

What to Know About Colgate
  • Like American, Colgate will be putting a 2-0 Patriot League record on the line when it hosts the Eagles.
  • The Raiders, whose three-year run of conference titles was snapped last year when American defeated them in the semifinals and went on to capture the championship, are 8-7 overall and 2-2 at home so far this year.
  • Junior guard Jalen Cox is putting up 16.7 points per game to pace the Colgate attack. Freshman forward Andrew Alekseyenko adds 14.2 points per game and a team-best 5.9 rebounds a contest.
  • Wednesday's game features the two highest-scoring offenses in the Patriot League, with American's 78.7 a game sitting just above Colgate's 76.1.
  • Matt Langel, now in his 15th season in Hamilton, is the winningest coach in Colgate men's basketball history, sitting at 249-210 overall. A five-time Patriot League Coach of the Year, Langel has led Colgate to five NCAA Tournament appearances in the last seven years.
