WASHINGTON - A defensive battle that saw both teams cause over 10 turnovers was broken open by the Terriers in the fourth quarter of today's game, as the American University lacrosse team fell 12-5 at home.

- Spratt halted the early run with a goal three minutes later, taking advantage of a player-up opportunity for AU after Reilly Walsh was given a yellow card. The score stayed at 3-1 until the end of the quarter.
- Raegan Bailey got the Terriers back on the board early in the 2nd quarter, then Alyssa Apuzzo answered for the Eagles by splitting a double team and firing a shot past Natalie Aiosa. The teams went scoreless the rest of the frame, stopped by four saves from Forti and three from Aiosa.
