WASHINGTON - After leading American University wrestling to a dominant win over Brown, redshirt freshman Coen Bainey has been named the Gregorio's Trattoria Student-Athlete of the Week for Feb. 3-10. Bainey set the tone in the Eagles' 25-13 victory, securing a bonus-point win to earn five team points in the opening match.

Bainey posted four takedowns and four near fall points in a dominant, 18-2 technical fall victory in 6:41 over Brown's Jared Brunner. Bainey is now 5-5 in dual meets this season, while the Eagles are 8-8 overall.

The Eagles will be back at home in Bender Arena for a Senior Day EIWA dual against Bucknell at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14. For tickets, click HERE.
