American Ranks Second in the Patriot League Presidents’ Cup Standings

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – American ranks second behind only Army West Point in the 2025-26 Patriot League Presidents' Cup standings through the fall sports championship season, with Boston University, Lafayette and Bucknell rounding out the top five in the overall standings.

The defending Patriot League Presidents' Cup champion Black Knights claimed 42.25 points during the fall, winning the women's cross country and women's soccer championships, while advancing to the women's volleyball championship game.

American ranked second in the overall standings with 39 points, after capturing the women's volleyball crown and claiming regular-season titles in field hockey and men's soccer. Boston University (36) is third after winning the field hockey championship and claiming the women's soccer regular-season title. Lafayette (35.5) is fifth, winning the men's soccer championship and finishing as the runner-up in field hockey and football.

Lehigh leads the men's standings with 20 points by winning its second straight football title and finishing as the runner-up in men's soccer. American (16.75), Lafayette (16.5), Army West Point (15.75), Boston University (14) and Bucknell (14) make up the top six.

Army West Point sits atop the women's leaderboard with 26.5 points. American (22.25), Boston University (22), Bucknell (21) and Lafayette (19) are second through fifth in the women's standings at the conclusion of the fall season.

Points for the Patriot League Presidents' Cup are awarded based on a combination of a team's performance in the regular-season standings and postseason finish. In cross country, golf, rowing, swimming and diving, and track and field, the points are awarded based on the final team finish at the Patriot League Championship. Points for football are based on the final regular-season standings.
