Series History
  • Delaware boasts the all-time advantage in the series over American, 14-6, dating back to 1978. The last time the Eagles have won in the series was February of 1991 in D.C.
Tipping Off
  • The Eagles and Kelly Killion are 1-1 after opening the season with a win in Bender Arena, 66-63, over Delaware State and then falling, 78-38, on the road at Clemson.
  • Killion earned her first win as a head coach when she led the team to a 66-63 win over DSU. The teams were tied 31-all at halftime, and the contest came down to the wire, but the Eagles were able to grab the gritty win.
  • In the game against DSU, rookies Kayla Greyvensteyn and Charlotte Tuhy earned their first collegiate starts, while classmates Andrea Jude and Vienn Sheng made their playing debuts on the hardwood subbing in against Clemson.
  • Against the Hornets, three Eagles finished in double-digit scoring position against the Hornets led by. Molly Driscoll with 18 points. Anna Rescifina and Tuhy each dropped 10+ points, and Tuhy also crashed the boards consistently with eight rebounds.
  • Against the Tigers of Clemson, Driscoll was the only Eagle in double-digits, scoring 13 on the road. Tuhy once again led on the boards for AU with eight rebounds. Junior point guard Lexi Salazar went 3-for-6 from three point range, earning a career-high nine points.
Scouting the Fightin' Blue Hens
  • After starting the season with an 83-59 win over Bloomsburg, Delaware picked up two losses in a row. First, they dropped to the Patriot League's Navy, 68-61, and most recently fell in overtime to Old Dominion, 73-66, on the road in Norfolk.
  • Four Fightin' Blue Hens scored in double figures as the team dropped in overtime to Old Dominion, 73-66. UD shot 50-percent from beyond the arc in the contest, making five of its 10 attempts.
  • Ande'a Cherisier, a junior center, led the team with 15 points while pulling down seven boards, her 34th-career game of 10 or more points in her two season with the program.
  • Trinity Vance notched 13 points on 5-of-8 from the floor and 2-for-3 from three. Vance is a sophomore guard who missed the entire 2024-25 season due to injury.
  • Lay Fantroy tallied 11 points and a team-high nine boards to go with five steals. It marked her ninth-straight game with 10 or more points, while she has recorded at least eight points and eight rebounds in all three games this season. Fantroy's five steals are the most for a Blue Hen since Nakiyah Mays-Prince swiped the ball six times against William & Mary on January 19, 2024.
  • Fantroy was First Team All-SWAC and First Team All-SWAC Tournament in 2024-25.
  • Safi Kolliegbo scored 11 points with five rebounds and three steals. It was her 42nd-career game in double figures.
