WASHINGTON - As a key contributor for American University women's soccer in helping the Eagles win four straight games for the first time in 12 years, sophomore Lailah Stewart has been named the Gregorio's Trattoria Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 2-8.

Stewart gave American a 2-1 lead in the 12th minute of the Eagles' 3-1 win at UMBC on Sept. 6, and she went on to tally the insurance goal for AU in the 39th minute. With those two goals, Stewart has three for the season and has matched her total output from 2023. In American's fourth straight win, 2-1 at Richmond on Sept. 8, Stewart tallied one assist.

The Eagles will now have the week off before kicking off Patriot League play on the road at Army on Friday, Sept. 20, at 5:00 p.m.
