BETHLEHEM, Pa. - For the first time in three years, American University volleyball swept the Patriot League Weekly Awards. Junior Adelina Berisha was named the PL Player of the Week while freshman Zedo Yilmaz earned PL Rookie of the Week honors for a second time this season.

The honor is the first ever for Berisha, who was also named to the Campbell Invitational All-Tournament Team after leading the Eagles to a 2-1 weekend and a 3-1 week overall. She posted double-doubles in all four matches for AU, and recorded a career-high 23 kills against Western Carolina, adding 17 digs. In a 3-1 win over Western Carolina, Berisha added a career-high 21 digs to 10 kills. For the week, she averaged 3.63 kills per set and 3.68 digs per set.

Yilmaz posted three double-doubles last week, totaling 57 kills, 57 digs, 10 assists and six total blocks. She recorded career highs of 18 kills and 23 digs in a 3-2 win over Howard, along with four aces and three blocks. Yilmaz leads the Patriot League in kills (154), points (184), and aces (19), while ranking second in points per set (3.83), sixth in kills per set (3.21), and eighth in digs per set (2.90).

*The junior posted double-doubles in all four matches, including a career-high 23 kills and 17 digs against Western Carolina, followed by a 10-kill and 21-dig performance against North Carolina Central.
*The Scotch Plains, N.J. native ranks second in Patriot League for kills (153) and points (171.5), trailing teammate Zedo Yilmaz in both categories, as well as seventh in kills per set (3.19) and points per set (3.57).
