WASHINGTON - For a second time this season, senior Mimi Watts has been named the Gregorio's Trattoria Student-Athlete of the Week for her outstanding efforts in the pool. The American University swimming & diving standout took home three medals from the 2024 Patriot League Championships last week, including two golds.

Watts broke her own school records and won gold medals in both the 50 freestyle (22.83) and 100 freestyle (49.34), while also earning a silver medal in the 100 butterfly. The women's team set an additional four school records in relays, and Watts was a part of three of those—the 200 medley relay, the 200 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relay. The total medal count for Watts after three PL Championships is nine, including five golds.
