WASHINGTON - Following two impressive performances for American University women's basketball at the Puerto Rico Clasico, freshman guard Molly Driscoll has been named the Gregorio's Trattoria Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 25-Dec. 1. Driscoll averaged 16.5 points per game in two contests for the Eagles, who came up short against Milwaukee and Winthrop.

In the second game for American on Nov. 29, Driscoll poured in 24 points, 15 of which came from three-pointers and another nine from the free throw line. She had a career night in points (24), rebounds (5), steals (3), and free throws (9). She went 9-for-9 from the charity stripe and went 5-for-9 from three. She also was on the floor for 29 minutes, the most of her collegiate career thus far. Driscoll's 24 points topped all players on the floor.

Two days earlier, Driscoll scored nine points, hitting both of her attempts from long range and going 3-of-6 from the floor overall. She added two assists and a steal in that contest.

The Eagles are off from competition until a 3:30 p.m. game at Towson on Saturday, Dec. 7.
