BAYAMÓN, Puerto Rico – The American University women's basketball will be escaping the cold and jetting south to warmer weather as the Eagles prepare to take on two opponents in the Puerto Rico Clasico, hosted in Bayamón at the Coliseo Rubén Rodríguez. American will face the Milwaukee on Wednesday and Winthrop on Friday.

Inside the Series

• This will be the first meeting between the Eagles and the Panthers of Milwaukee.

• Junior guard Anna Rescifina is the second highest scorer for the Eagles on the year so far, averaging 9.4 points per game after topping the team in the first two contests of the season with 14 and 19 points respectively. She leads the team in steals on the season with seven.
• Laura Nogues, the team's starting point guard, dished a career-high eight assists to lead all players in the contest against La Salle. She has a team, leading 17 assists this season, while Rescifina in second place has 12. Nogues has had a slower start to the season than where she left off the 2023-24 season but is still contributing on both sides of the court, averaging 4.6 points and 3.2 rebounds per contest.
• So far, AU is struggling from distance this season averaging only .234 percent from beyond the arc. Overall, the team has gone .358 from the floor to start with after finishing last year at .400 from the field.
