WASHINGTON – The final weekend home game of the regular season has arrived for the American University men's soccer team, and the Eagles will celebrate Senior Day prior to a 7 p.m. start against Lafayette at the Maryland Soccerplex. It's also Alumni Day for AU, and all alums in attendance will be recognized at halftime.

INSIDE THE SERIES
- American leads the all-time series against Lafayette 16-4-8.
- Last season, the teams tied 2-2 twice, both times on Lafayette's home field. The Leopards won in a shootout to end AU's season in the PL quarterfinals.
- The Eagles' last win was 2-1 in Easton in 2021, while Lafayette's last victory was 2-1 in DC in 2022.
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT AMERICAN
- American returns to the Maryland Soccerplex for its first home game since September 28. The Eagles took on a four-game road stretch against three Patriot League teams and, most recently, Virginia.
- The Eagles are coming off a 4-2 loss against Virginia that saw them take a 2-0 lead in the first 15 minutes and a 2-1 lead at halftime. A talented Virginia squad overpowered the Eagles in the second half, scoring three goals as the Eagles fell, 4-2.
- Last week, the Eagles fell to Lehigh 1-3, with Sam Hershey scoring American's one goal.
- Before that, the Eagles earned their second Patriot League win of the season, a 2-1 decision at Army, thanks to two goals from senior Dilane Zouantcha, including a stunning back-heel flick for AU's first goal of the game.
- On Saturday, American recognizes eight seniors and one graduate student for their contributions to the program: Dominic Dominguez, Nicholas Shirley, Miles Lam, Sam Hershey, Dilane Zouantcha, Zemi Rodriguez, Leo Palomo, Mustapha Sowe, and graduate student Cooper Nunn. Graduate student Ethan Boyle was recognized at last year's Senior Day ceremony.
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT LAFAYETTE
- Lafayette enters the game after a 2-1 win against Le Moyne, in which sophomore Max Fujimori and freshman Gabe Faust scored the Leopards' two goals.
- The Leopards enter the game on a two-game win streak, as in the game before Le Moyne, Lafayette beat Holy Cross, 2-0, to earn its second Patriot League win of the season.
- Lafayette has scored 18 goals this season. Sophomore Roy Biegon leads the team with five out of the 18 goals for the Leopards.
- Senior goalkeeper Griffin Huff has played in nine games this season and leads the Patriot League in goals against average, allowing just one goal per game.
- Head coach Dennis Bohn is in his twenty-fourth season at the helm of the program. Last year, he lead the team to a 5-3-4 record in the Patriot League.
- Lafayette enters Saturday's contest tied for fifth place in the Patriot League with American. The winner of the game could move as high as a tie for first place in the League.
