BETHLEHEM, Pa. - It was at times an improbable comeback, but by the end there was no doubt as American University volleyball dropped a set but then rattled off three straight for a win at Lehigh by scores of 20-25, 28-26, 26-24 and 25-17. Four players reached double digits in kills for the Eagles, who also posted three double-doubles in the long, four-set victory.
Notable
- Junior Adelina Berisha led AU with 14 kills and made it a double-double with 13 digs while also serving up a career-high three aces.
- For her eighth double-double of the season, freshman Zedo Yilmaz added 16 digs to 13 kills.

How it Happened
- The Eagles were playing catch-up for most of the first set and were never able to get there. AU trailed by just a point at 20-19, but scored only one more as Lehigh pulled away for a 25-20 set win.
- The Mountain Hawks hit .342 to American's .157 behind seven first-set kills for Alysia Fingall.
- In a wild second set that saw six ties and five lead changes, AU made comebacks and gave up leads at various times. In the end, the Eagles had to fight off three set points for Lehigh before finally making good on their second set point thanks to an Elise Sterling kill.
- It would have been easy to write off the Eagles in the third set but that would prove to be a mistake. Despite trailing 16-7, 19-14, and 24-21, American found a way to get the job done.
- Stegeman played a huge part in the impressive comeback, knocking down three kills in AU's 5-0 run that ended it, including back-to-back kills for set point and the 26-24 win.
- After a 6-6 tie early in the fourth set, AU got three straight kills from Sterling as the Eagles pulled away and never looked back. They hit .361 to Lehigh's .054 in winning 25-17, posting 17 kills compared to nine for the Mountain Hawks.
- Osterdahl tallied four kills in the final set to push her into double figures for the match.
