• Senior Matt Rogers leads AU and ranks second in the Patriot League with 15.2 points per game, adding 6.2 rebounds per game (fifth in PL). He has recorded two double-doubles this season, and his field goal percentage of .519 ranks fourth in the PL.
• American's bench has provided a spark for the Eagles this season, outscoring the opponents' bench in 11 of AU's 15 games. AU's bench outscored Bucknell's by eight points on Jan. 6 behind 11 points from sophomore Geoff Sprouse and nine from freshman Greg Jones.
• Junior Elijah Stephens leads AU and the Patriot League with 5.3 assists per game. His assist/turnover ratio of 2.6 also leads the PL, and he has reached double-figures scoring in nine of AU's last 12 games. He recorded 15 points, eight assists and four rebounds against Lehigh on Jan. 6.
• First-year head coach Duane Simpkins has eight career victories and has brought a new energy to the program. The Eagles run a faster offense and so far are averaging 8.2 more points per game than in 2022-23, as well as making 3.6 more 3-point field goals per game.

Scouting the Terriers

• Boston University enters Wednesday's game with a 5-10 record overall, having lost their first two Patriot League contests against Navy and Lafayette.
• The Terriers earned their best win of the season on Nov. 16, when they won at home against Bryant, 95-79.
• Boston U. leads the Patriot League in rebounding with 36.9 boards per game. They also lead the country in offensive rebounds allowed.
• Senior Miles Brewster leads the team with 9.7 points per game, shooting 45 percent from the field and over 35 percent from beyond the arc. Brewster ranks fifth in the Patriot League with 1.4 steals per game.
• Sophomore Otto Landrum leads the team and ranks sixth in the Patriot League with 6.1 rebounds per game to go with his 8.9 points per game.
• Head coach Joe Jones is in his 13th season with the Terriers. He's led the Terriers to five postseason berths, including a 2020 Patriot League tournament championship and 2014 regular season championship. He served as the head coach at Columbia University from 2003-2010
