LANCASTER, Pa. - Nine Eagles competed at the 11th annual David H. Lehman Franklin & Marshall Open on Friday, with three of them winning at least three bouts for the day. The top performers were sophomore Caleb Campos, freshman Gage Owen and redshirt junior Ryan Zimmerman.

Notable

• The Eagles posted five pins for the day, including two apiece from Zimmerman (149 pounds) and Campos (174 pounds).
• Campos made his first appearance on the mat this season, returning from injury to go 4-2. He suffered an early-round loss to #21 Daniel Wask of Navy, but then earned his first win of the season with a pin of Princeton's Nate Stefanik in 4:07. He went on to win three more in a row before ending his day in the consolation semis.
• Owen had a run of three straight victories on his way to also going 4-2 overall, starting his day with a pin of Long Island's Jake Valentin in 4:49. 
• Zimmerman finished at 3-2 overall, and his two wins by fall were his first two of the season. 

Next Up

• The Eagles will be making a trip to California to close out the winter break. AU will compete in a dual at Cal Poly on Friday, Jan. 12, and then face three teams in the annual Chippewa Challenge on Jan. 13. This year's host is Cal State Bakersfield, and the Eagles will also compete against Campbell and Central Michigan.
