WASHINGTON - With an outstanding performance in a three-dual meet that included a 7-0 decision over the eighth-ranked wrestler in the nation, graduate student Will Jarrell has been named the Gregorio's Trattoria Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of January 8-14.

Jarrell, who competes at heavyweight, did not allow a single point against him while going 3-0 at the Chippewa Challenge on Jan. 14 against Campbell, CSU Bakersfield and Central Michigan. After going scoreless for two periods against #8 Taye Ghadiali of Campbell, Jarrell came alive in the third with a takedown and two penalty points on his way to the win. He went on to score two more shutouts, beating CSU Bakersfield's Jake Andrews 4-0, and Central Michigan's Bryan Caves 6-0.

The Eagles finished 1-2 as a team, and will be back in action at Bucknell on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 2 p.m.
