LEWISBURG, Pa. – After giving up a goal the 26^th minute, American University women's soccer could not find the equalizer as the Eagles dropped their first Patriot League road test of the season, 1-0, to the Bucknell Bison.
 
QUICK NOTABLES

• Junior goalkeeper Julia Kato made six saves.
• Kato, graduate student Natalie Oliver, freshman Bella Vozar, and junior Giuliana Capraro have started in all of American's games this season. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Sophomore Morissa Lambert had the first shot of the game for American in the fifth minute but her shot went wide, missing a chance to put the Eagles in the lead early in the game.
• The Bison dominated on offense for most of the first half, finding the back of the net in the 26^th minute to take a 1-0 lead.
• Sophomore Alyssa Giroux had a good chance to net the equalizer with 10 minutes to play in the first half, but her shot hit the top of the crossbar to keep the Bison in the lead heading into halftime.
• Oliver had the Eagles' first shot on goal in the second half, looking to put the Eagles on the board but Bucknell's keeper was there to make the save.
• Sophomore Avery Klingensmith and graduate student Ashley Molz each had a chance in the final minutes to net the late equalizer, but neither could find the back of the net as time expired.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• The Bison held the 18-10 shot advantage in the game, as well as the 7-4 shots on goal advantage.
• Molz, Oliver, and junior Jennifer McGuire each totaled two shots.
• Bucknell's yellow card was the lone card given out in the game.
