HOW IT HAPPENED
- The game started out with Boston U. hot on offense, opening on a 7-0 run before LeMaster got a three from the top of the arc to put American on the board with 6:47 left to play in the first.
- At the media timeout with 4:24 left to play in the frame, the Eagles were trailing the 5-13 thanks to the Terriers grabbing five points in transition.
- Altogether, Boston U. was out-rebounding American 11-7 and shooting 9-14 from the field to hold a 7-22 lead over the Eagles at the end of the first frame.
- To start the second quarter, neither team could drain a basket for a three-and-a-half-minute period, holding on defense and each team shooting 0-5 from the field before Boston U.'s Crispe finally broke the stalemate with a layup.
- Going into the break, the Terriers led by a score of 32-14, shooting 48% overall to the Eagles' at just 23% and had 16 points off turnovers to AU's 7 and in the paint led 20-8.

- Through three full frames, the Eagles trailed the league-leading Terriers 27-48. In the third American held Boston U. to the just 38% from the field, but it wasn't enough to lessen the deficit.
