Men's Basketball Welcomes Colgate Saturday; Looks to Even Season Series

WASHINGTON – American University men's basketball (14-8, 6-5 PL) looks to head back into the win column as the Colgate Raiders (17-7, 11-0 PL) come to Bender Arena on Saturday afternoon. American is coming off a loss to Bucknell on Wednesday while the Raiders have won their last 11-straight games. The Eagles have their eyes on picking up their first win over the Raiders since 2017.

  • O'Neil and junior Matt Rogers lead the Eagles in scoring, both averaging in double figures. Rogers leads the way with 13.0 points per game and O'Neil is right behind him with 11.2 points per game. Rogers is ninth in the league in scoring.

  • Colgate enters Saturday's game with a 17-7 overall record and a perfect 11-0 in Patriot League play. The Raiders are coming off a 76-63 win over Loyola Maryland on Monday night and were led by senior Ryan Moffatt with 19 points.
  • The Raiders have won 26-straight games over Patriot League opponents, marking the nation's leading conference winning streak. They were a perfect 10-0 in the month of January.
  • Colgate leads the league in scoring (77.8 points per game) and assists (17.58 per game). Individually, senior Keegan Records leads the league in field goal percentage (65 percent) while senior Tucker Richardson leads in assists (5.1 per game) and steals (2.2 per game).
