WASHINGTON – American University men's basketball (15-13, 7-10 PL) heads to Loyola Maryland (11-19, 6-11 PL) on Saturday to take on the Greyhounds in the final Patriot League regular season game of the 2022-23 season. The Eagles are looking to end their five-game skid and pick up the win over the Greyhound for the regular season sweep.

• American enters Saturday's game with a 7-10 mark in Patriot League play. The Eagles are coming off their fifth-straight loss on Wednesday, falling 70-54, to Navy. Junior Johnny O'Neil led American in scoring with 17 points and rebounds with eight.
• As a team, American is second in the league in team field goal percentage (49.0 percent), second in blocks (3.79 per game) and second in steals (7.36 per game).
• Heading into the final game of the regular season, the Eagles are in a four-way tie for fifth in the league with Lafayette, Holy Cross, and Boston U. Depending on Saturday's results, the Eagles can enter the Patriot League Tournament as either the fifth, sixth, seventh or eighth seed.
• O'Neil recorded one block in Wednesday's game moving his career total to 86 and season total to 41. His is now five away from tying Patrick Doctor for ninth all-time career blocks in AU's record book. 

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT LOYOLA MARYLAND

• Loyola Maryland enters Saturday's game with a 6-11 mark in Patriot League action. The Greyhounds are coming off a 90-68 win over Holy Cross and were led by freshman Deon Perry with a game-high 27 points.
• As a team, Loyola is third in the league in offensive rebounds with 9.2 rebounds per game, and first in the league in steals with 7.60 per game. Individually senior Golden Dike is tied for fourth in the league in rebounds, averaging 6.5 rebounds per game, with American's O'Neil.
• The Greyhounds currently sit in ninth in the league standings heading into Saturday's regular season finale.
• The Greyhounds are led by head coach Tavaras Hardy in his fifth season at the head of the program.
