WASHINGTON – Taking on their fourth Atlantic-10 conference opponent in a row, American University women's basketball will face-off with George Mason on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 1 pm. The Eagles are looking to get back to winning ways, after dropping three on the road while the Patriots will be coming in with a perfect 5-0 record.

INSIDE THE SERIES
- This is the 58th meeting between the George Mason and American; the Patriots lead the Eagles 32-25 in the all-time series and are 3-2 in the last five meetings.
- Last season, the Eagles went to Fairfax, Va. in December and a strong second half from the home team saw the Patriots down AU 59-71. American was led by Lauren Stack with 16 points and seven rebounds. Molly Lavin and Riley DeRubbo followed with nine points and eight points respectively.

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT AMERICAN
- After an emphatic home opening win over Longwood, the Eagles will be looking to claim their second win of the season after dropping three in a row on the road, falling to A-10 opponents, La Salle, George Washington, and Richmond.
- Against Richmond, the Eagles were led by Lavin with 14 points. The sophomore forward also had seven rebounds. Lavin was the only AU player to score in double digits and collected the most rebounds for the team.
- Lavin is second on the team averages with 9.3 points per game across the first three games and is leading the team in rebounding with an average of 6.5.
- Senior guard Ivy Bales was second on the team in both categories, with six points and five rebounds. Bales leads with team with seven steals on the season and is second in the assist category with 12.
- On the season, the Eagles are being led by senior forward Emily Johns in scoring with an average of 12.0 ppg. Johns has been in double-digits three of the Eagles' four games this season, scoring 12, 22, and 12 points in each game before the Spiders held her to just two points.
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT GEORGE MASON
- The Patriots are on a torrent to open this season, starting 5-0, and outscoring their opponents 400-309, by an average of 20 points per game. The season starting streak is a historic one, as opening 5-0 is a match to the best start in program history.
- In their most recent game, at home against Robert Morris, The Patriots once again boasted a balanced offense and strong defense with three players scoring in double figures and all 13 dressed players scoring multiple points.
- Freshman Kennedy Harris led Mason in scoring for the first time this season with 13 points to go with two assists and two rebounds and Sonia Smith scored in double-figures for the fifth time this season, tallying 12 5-8 shooting. Smith also dished out a game-high four assists.
- Smith is leading the Patriots this season with an average of 13.0 points per game, along with 18 assists and five steals.
- Senior forward Nalani Kaysia is leading Mason with an average of 6.0 rebounds per game. She also has three blocks and two steals. She's scoring 6.2 points per game on average as well.
