WASHINGTON – A flurry of three first-quarter goals was enough to lift American University field hockey past Bucknell in the Patriot League semifinals by a score of 3-2. American advances to the Patriot League Championship on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Jacobs Athletic Complex. The No. 1 seeded Eagles will face off with the No. 2 Lafayette Leopards who defeated Boston University 3-2 in the fifth minute of golden-goal overtime.
