ALUMNI WEEKEND AND DOUG DUGAN AWARD
  • The Eagles are excited welcome back alumni to campus and announce the 2022 Doug Dugan award winner this weekend.
  • The Doug Dugan award is named in memory of soccer alumnus and beloved husband, father and friend, Doug Dugan '81. Doug's family, former teammates and classmates remember him as a high-quality player, dedicated teammate and fun-loving individual who remained selfless and ever upbeat as he battled a debilitating disease his entire adult life. This memorial aims to capture Doug's spirit and preserve it as a perpetual example for every Eagles soccer player in the future.
  • The award is given annually to the AU men's soccer player who embodies the attitudes and attributes of leadership and excellence, characteristics for which Doug is fondly remembered – on and off the pitch.  Awarded by fellow teammates and the coaching staff, the awardee will have shown dedication to the team, determined work ethic and a selfless spirit that lifted his teammates to their optimal level.
