WASHINGTON – The American University women's soccer team has announced its 2022 fall schedule, featuring five non-conference games and a full slate of Patriot League action. Five home games will highlight the 2022 schedule. 
 
"We are thrilled to watch our team build on their success and are excited to bring a fun brand of soccer to the Eagles' fan base!," said head coach Marsha Harper. 
 
HEAVY AWAY SLATE

• The Eagles are set for 10 away games and five home games this fall.    
• They are set to open their 2022 slate at Elon.      
• After playing Elon they will stay on the road to take on High Point and the University of South Florida, before returning to Reeves to open their home slate on Wednesday, Aug. 31 against local opponent George Washington. 
• They will hit the road for two more games to close out non-conference action at William and Mary and Old Dominion, before kicking off Patriot League play at Holy Cross on Sept. 17.

RETURNING HOME

• Head coach Marsha Harper will return to her alma mater, USF, when the Eagles travel to Tampa, Fla., where she served as the captain for the Bulls during the 2013 season.

NEW OPPONENTS 

• The Eagles' game at High Point marks the first ever meeting between the two squads.
• American's matchup with USF will only be the second matchup between the Eagles and the Bulls but the Eagles are still on the hunt for their first win against Harper's alma mater  The first-ever meeting between the two squads was during the 2017 season and saw the Bulls coming away with the 3-0 victory.
• American and Elon will also face-off for the second time in series history on Thursday, Aug. 17. It will be the first ever matchup in Elon, N.C. as the last meeting was in Washington, D.C. 

CONFERENCE CLASHES

• The Eagles will kick-off their 2022 Patriot League slate on Saturday, Sept. 17 at Holy Cross. They will then return to Reeves to kick-off their home league slate on Wednesday, Sept. 21 against Bucknell.
• League opponents Lafayette, Boston U. and Colgate will all make the trip to Washington while the Eagles will head to Army, Navy and Lehigh for the rest of their conference action.
• The Patriot League Tournament is set for Oct. 30 - Nov. 6.
