Prior to her time at American, Coll had stops at Towson (2012-13), Lehigh (2008-12), Navy (2007-08), and St. John’s (2005-07). During her time as an assistant at Lehigh, she helped the Mountain Hawks to a 93-35 (.730) overall record, including three 21+ win seasons, three Patriot League regular season titles, and two PL Tournament titles and NCAA Tournament berths. She also recruited and helped coach three Patriot League Players of the Year and nine All-Patriot League selections.
A successful player in her own right, Coll was a two-time team captain while at UMBC and was invited to the 2003 and 2004 InfoSport Professional Women’s Basketball Player Combine. She went on to play professionally overseas, first in the English Basketball League’s First Division from 2003-04 before joining the Dutch League’s First Division where she helped lead the team to a 10-2 record and playoff appearance. Coll closed her playing career as both a player and coach in the German Bundesliga.
Coll graduated from UMBC with her bachelor’s degree in issues in athletic administration in 2003 and earned her master’s in sociology from St. John’s in 2007. She lives in Rockville, Md., with her husband, Dan, and son, Chase.
