ANNAPOLIS, Md. – American University men's soccer fell to Navy, 1-0, on Wednesday night. Despite the loss, the Eagles have clinched the sixth seed in the Patriot League Tournament and are set to take on Colgate on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 5 p.m.

- Navy took the first shot of the game in the second minute but the shot was off target to keep the score 0-0 early.
- American took its first shot of the game in the sixth minute, off a shot from senior Mattias Cooper, but the shot was off target.
- The Eagles had back-to-back chances in the 22nd and 24th minutes off shots from Cooper and junior Robbie Matei but both were blocked.
- The game went into halftime tied 0-0.
- Navy took the lead in the 49th minute off a penalty kick.
- American had a chance the even the score in the 53rd minute, off a corner kick taken by Cooper. His cross went to junior Evan Schweickert but his shot was off target and was grabbed by the Midshipmen's goalkeeper.
- Senior Jack Green had a chance in the 70th minute off a header but the shot went off target and was grabbed by the Midshipmen's goalkeeper.
- Green had another chance in the 75th minute but his shot was saved by the Mids keeper.
- Freshman Tim Schliemann had American's last chance to even the score in the 88th minute but his shot was blocked.
- Navy fired off the final shot of the game in the final minutes and Tibbetts made the save to keep the score 1-0 in favor of Navy.

- Both sides were even in shots 14-14.
- American held the 8-6 corner kick advantage.
- Senior Damian Searchwell, Schweickert, sophomore Zemi Rodriguez, Matei, Cooper, Green, and Schliemann all recorded a shot in the game.
