ANNAPOLIS, Md. – American University women's soccer (1-5-6, 0-4-2 Patriot League) dropped its third-straight game on Wednesday night, falling 1-0 to Navy (6-5-3, 3-3 Patriot League). Junior
Izzy Kadzban lead the team with a season-high four shots while the Eagles held the 15-12 shot advantage despite the loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kadzban had the first shot of the game for either side five minutes into the game but her shot went just over the top of the net.
- Sophomore Brooke Steel followed up Kadzban's shot a few minutes later with one of her own that was scooped up by the Midshipmen's goaltender, keeping the Eagles off the board.
- Kadzban had American's best shot of the half in the 25th minute, sending the ball to the top of the goal but Navy's goalkeeper was just able to get a hand on it and tip it away from the back of the net.
- Neither side found the back of the net as first 45 minutes ended in a scoreless tie.
- The two sides traded shots to start the second half but both were stopped by the opposing sides goalkeeper.
- It looked as if American was going to take the 1-0 lead in the 65th minute, off a cross by Steel, but the ball bounced off the foot of senior Cailin Panacek who was standing in box just missing the back of the net.
- The Midshipmen scored in the 63rd minute to take a 1-0 lead.
- Kadzban had one more shot that looked as if it was going to be the equalizer for American in the final minute, but once again the Midshipmen's goalkeeper made a diving stop to secure the 1-0 victory for the home team.

- American also held the 6-2 corner kick advantage in the game.
- Three cards were handed out Wednesday night, one yellow card to American and one red card to each team.
