QUICK NOTABLES
- American's win was the program's first win over Colgate since 201 and first Patriot League victory of the season.
- Both Kadzban's and Vazquez's goal were their second of the season.
- Freshman Eliza Fisher's assist on Vazquez's goal was her first career assist. Senior Fisayo Iluyomade's assist on Kadzban's goal was her first of the season and third of her career.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Julia Kato recorded two saves and picked up her fourth clean sheet of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- American started off the game with a chance to score right away off a corner kick but the ball couldn't find the back of the net to keep the score 0-0 early.
- Colgate fired off the first shot of the game in the 8th minute but the ball was scooped up by Kato.
- Senior Sylvie Prepetit and freshman Morissa Lambert fired off back-to-back shots for the Eagles in the 33rd and 35th minutes.
- Colgate had a chance to break the tie in the 41st minute off a shot that went towards the bottom center of the net, but Kato was there to make the save.
- The Raider's took one more shot at the end of the first half try to break the tie but the ball went wide and out to the right to send the game into the half tied 0-0.
- Vazquez took American's first shot of the second half but her shot went wide and to the left of the net.
- Two minutes later, it was Kadzban, off an assist by Iluyomade, who found the back of the net for American to give them the lead.
- Later in the second half it was Vazquez, off an assist by Fisher, who sent the ball over the top of Colgate's keepers head and into the back corner of the net to put American up by two.
- Colgate had its last chance of the game to get on the board in the 84th minute but the shot missed the mark and went out to the left, securing the Eagles' first Patriot League victory of the season.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- American held the 15-7 shot advantage in the game, outshooting Colgate 11-3 in the second half and holding the Raiders to just four shots in the first half.
- The Eagles also held the 6-4 corner kick advantage in the game.
- Kadzban and Vazquez lead the Eagles with a team-leading three shots. Junior Abby Dillon and graduate student Asia Horne each totaled two, and sophomore Brooke Steel, freshman Abby Klingensmith, Prepetit, sophomore Jordan Mahony, and freshman Morissa Lambert each recorded a shot.
- Kadzban lead the team in shots on goal with two.
- There were three cards handed out in the game, one to Colgate and two to American.

- Up next for the Eagles is a trip to Bethlehem, Pa., on Saturday, Oct. 22 for a 6 p.m. Patriot League game with Lehigh. They will then travel to Loyola Maryland on Wednesday, Oct. 26 to close out their regular season slate.
