WASHINGTON - Senior women's basketball standout Jade Edwards has been named the GEICO Student-Athlete of the Week for a third time this season after being instrumental in two wins for the Eagles last week.

Edwards scored a game-high 15 points in an 80-65 win against Army West Point, leading AU to its first 80-point game since 2019. She also contributed to one of the team's largest single-half outputs with 48 points in the first half and a program-record 33 points in the second quarter alone. In a 53-49 win vs. Loyola Maryland, Edwards was held to nine points but still led the team in rebounding (7) and steals (3).

American is back on the road this week with a 5 p.m. tip at Holy Cross on Wednesday before returning to Bender to host Navy at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
