WASHINGTON - For his efforts in recording a shutout win for American University men's soccer on Sept. 25, freshman Dominic Dominguez has been named the GEICO Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 20-26.

In his first collegiate action. Dominguez was outstanding in goal, picking up four saves including a few diving stops to help cement the Eagles' 2-0 shutout victory over Lehigh in Patriot League action. It was AU's first conference win of the season. Dominguez picked up three second-half saves, all of which came after AU took the lead.
