WASHINGTON - In a crucial game for American University men's soccer, junior forward David Coly got the job done and helped the Eagles secure a spot in the Patriot League Tournament semifinals. For his efforts, Coly has been named the GEICO Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of April 5-11.

With the Eagles trailing in the final minutes of regulation, Coly scored in the 86th minute to get his team back to the Patriot League Tournament after narrowly missing out a season ago. It was the second straight game in which Coly picked up the lone AU goal. To score the equalizer in this one, Coly cleaned up a free kick from Jack Green inside the six-yard box that had been initially deflected by a Navy defender off the post. It's Coly's third goal of the season to lead the Eagles in that category.

American and Navy finished the game tied at 1-1 after two overtimes, and the Eagles stand at 2-1-2 after the regular season.
