WASHINGTON - Senior Kyle Hellmann of American University men's soccer had the game of his career on Saturday, March 20 at Loyola Maryland. For his efforts, Hellmann has been named the GEICO Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of March 15-21.

With the Eagles trailing 1-0 and just over a minute remaining in regulation, Hellmann scored the equalizer, taking a feed from Jason Bouregy and then beating the keeper 1-on-1. In the sixth minute of overtime, Hellmann was in the right spot to corral a rebound off the Greyhounds' goalkeeper and put it in for the win. It was the first two-goal game of his career.
