WASHINGTON - With an impressive all-around performance, American University women's basketball junior Emily Fisher led her team past Army West Point in the Patriot League Championship quarterfinals on March 7. For her efforts, Fisher has been named the GEICO Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of March 1-7.

Shooting 7-of-10 from the floor, 2-for-2 from three, and 3-for-3 from the charity stripe, Fisher totaled a season-high 19 points. She also closed with nine rebounds to just miss her first double-double of the season. Her five assists led all players in the game, and she also posted two steals.

The team will be back in action at Boston University for the PL semifinals on Thursday, March 11 at 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
