WASHINGTON - The offense of the third-ranked Pittsburgh Panthers was too much for American University volleyball on Tuesday afternoon at Bender Arena, as the Eagles were swept in non-conference action by scores of 25-7, 25-11 and 25-16.

NOTABLE

• American got a team-high 12 digs from junior Rachael Bennett, and eight kills from Zeynep Uzen who also had five digs.
• Katie Putney and Carlie Fikse led AU with three blocks each, and Esma Sipahi posted 11 assists.
• Inbal Peleg posted five kills and four digs.
• Pitt totaled 43 kills to AU's 19, and hit an impressive .410 as a team.

NEXT UP

• The Eagles will host their final regular season contest on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 4 p.m. against Army West Point.
• Chiara Bosetti and Fanny Ahman will be honored for Senior Day.
• AU is also guaranteed to host a Patriot League quarterfinal match on Tuesday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. against either Navy or Loyola Maryland.
