WASHINGTON - Junior Jack Green of the American University men's soccer team has been named the GEICO Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 25-31 after a huge performance for the Eagles.

In his first career start, Green scored both goals in AU's 2-1 win over Colgate. His strike in the 86th minute was particularly clutch to give the Eagles a win in regulation and improve their Patriot League record to 5-2-1. Green has now scored three goals in the Eagles' last two games. 

American closes the regular season with a home match against Navy on Wednesday, Nov. 3 at 1 p.m. and will honor its seniors for Senior Day.
