  • We also encourage social distancing at all of our venues.
INSIDE THE SERIES
  • The Mountain Hawks have won four of the last five meetings, all via 1-0 finals.
  • In fact, the last 10 times AU and Lehigh have played, the final score has been 1-0 (with each team winning five).
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT AMERICAN
  • Last time out, AU weathered a delay and a driving rainstorm to earn a 1-1 draw at Colgate on Saturday.
  • Julia Kato was lights-out in goal on Saturday night, picking up a career-high 13 saves on 26 shots faced.
  • Abby Dillon picked up her first career goal against Colgate, firing a shot to the far post to equalize early in the second half.
  • Tate Jordan (5G, 2A) and Brooke Steel (4G, 1A) lead the way for the AU offense. Jordan only had one career goal entering this season but has burst onto the scene as a senior.
  • The Eagles currently sit in a three-way tie for sixth place in the Patriot League standings. AU is working to qualify for the Patriot League Tournament for the first time since 2015.
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT LEHIGH
  • Lehigh is currently all alone in fifth place in the standings with 10 points, two points ahead of three teams tied for sixth with eight.
  • If Lehigh beats AU, and Army loses to or ties Bucknell or Colgate loses to or ties at Lafayette, the Mountain Hawks would clinch their first Patriot League Tournament berth since 2018 – when they advanced to the championship game.
  • After opening conference play 2-0-1, Lehigh has dropped four out of its last five matches with the lone win coming against Colgate last Wednesday.
  • Senior defender Erin Keefe was named preseason All-Patriot League and has one assist through 14 games.
  • Lehigh boasts a balanced offense that features four players with at least seven points (Schaller, Lyght, Supp, and Bonner).
FULL STAFF
  • Coach Harper added two new coaches to her squad for this fall season, rounding out her staff in year two.
  • Matt Freibaum was brought on as an assistant coach to work with the attacking unit, among other duties. He joins AU after two seasons at Wofford.
  • Martina Loncar is serving the team in a volunteer assistant role while she pursues a Master's degree at AU. A four-year letterwinner at Colgate, her experience in the Patriot League will undoubtedly be a valuable resource for the Eagles.
SISTER, SISTER
  • The Mahony sisters are the first siblings to play for AU Women's Soccer since 2000, and just the fourth pair ever.
  • Olivia, a senior, and Jordan, a freshman, played for The Pennington School for one season, although Jordan played only sparingly as a high school freshman.
  • The most heralded sister duo in AU Women's Soccer history is the Pike sisters. Liz holds every scoring record in program history and is in the Cassell Hall of Fame, while Julia is fourth in program history in career assists with 15.
  • Liz played for AU from 1990-93, while Julia was on the team from 1992-96.
ENHANCED CONCESSIONS FOR SATURDAY'S MATCH
  • AU Athletics has partnered with Gregorio's Trattoria to provide an enhanced concessions menu for all home weekend men's and women's soccer games this fall.
  • Fans can enjoy Gregorio's favorites from the grill station to the left of the Reeves Field bleachers including menu selections of freshly grilled burgers, Italian sausage and peppers, hot dogs, and a selection of cold Pepsi and Gatorade beverages.
