WASHINGTON - For her outstanding and school-record setting performances at the 2020 Patriot League Championships, sophomore
Eleanor Felton of American University swimming and diving has been named the GEICO Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 17-23.
Felton was a part of two school records, including an individual one. She swam the program's second-best time in the women's 100 butterfly prelims before breaking the 11-year old record in the consolation final with a time of 55.45 to place 10th overall.

Abby Longstaff, Felton was also part of the women's 200 freestyle relay which placed seventh in a school-record time of 1:34.55. The same foursome came 0.11 seconds away from setting a school record in the 200 medley relay on night one of the championships.
Just days after the PL Championships, Felton broke an 11-year old Reeves Pool Record at the annual Eagle Invite with a 100 fly time of 55.92, less than a half second off her school record time.
