WASHINGTON - Senior outside hitter Aleksandra Sochacka was named the GEICO Student-Athlete of the Week after strong performances in a 1-1 week for the AU volleyball team.

• Sochacka posted 10 kills and two blocks in the Eagles' 3-0 sweep of Rutgers on Sept. 20, hitting .250 for the match.
• She turned things up a notch a day later, knocking down a season-high 20 kills and posting just three errors for a .425 hitting percentage.
• Sochacka played in all seven sets for the weekend against AU's opponents out of the Big Ten and SEC.

• The Eagles will host Rider in their final non-conference match of the season at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25.
