WASHINGTON - Junior Indeya Sanders helped lead the American University women's basketball team to a 59-55 win at Rutgers on Dec. 15, and was named the GEICO Student-Athlete of the Week for her efforts.

Sanders added a season-high 15 points to a team-high eight rebounds, team-high four assists, one block, and one steal while only giving up two turnovers in her 37 minutes of play. It was the first road win of the season for the Eagles, who now stand at 3-6 overall with just one non-conference game remaining.

The Eagles will return home on Sunday, December 22, for the final nonconference game of the regular season. They will host crosstown rival George Washington at 2 p.m.
