WASHINGTON — The American University women's soccer team fell to Navy 1-0 to close out the home portion of the Patriot League schedule on Wednesday afternoon at Reeves Field. 

Postgame Notes

• American played Navy well throughout the contest despite conceding a goal late in the opening half.
• Navy scored the lone goal in the 41st minute on a shot to the low left side by Emily Keast. Caitlin Doran was credited with the assist. 
• American had two chances after the turn with Alysa Vazquez and Olivia Mahony each taking low shots to the middle of the net.
• Navy keeper Sydney Fortson had three saves while AU's Morgan Lang had seven saves.
