Men's Soccer Drops Midweek Match at The Mount

EMMITSBURG, Md. — Freshman Bobby Beringer scored his first collegiate goal but the host Mount St. Mary's scored four goals unanswered goals prior in a 4-1 win over American on Tuesday evening.

Postgame Notes
  • Kyle Davis scored a pair of goal for the Mountaineers in the contest. 
  • Yann Kouemi got The Mount on the board in the 28th minute on a penalty kick past AU keeper Jake Agnew. 
  • MSM took a 2-0 lead five minutes later on a tally by Juan Molina with an assist from Marcel Trotman. 
  • Davis scored his back-to-back goals in the 50th and 60th minutes, respectively.
  • Beringer scored his first in the 82nd minute with assists from Fabio Massaro and Oliver Price.
  • Agnew made one save for American in the loss. 
  • MSM keeper Riccardo Zonta had five saves for the Mountaineers.
